I’ve been trained in many techniques for success, leadership, storytelling / speaking and negotiation by many of the world’s foremost experts, including Jack Canfield, Jim Camp, John Maxwell and others whose names aren’t as familiar but who have achieved high levels of success. I’ve won numerous speaking awards and hold many certifications.
Much as I value these resources and appreciate how they’ve informed me, what they allow me to do now is to move past them. I incorporate them as needed to help you and I know that the real work is both from inside you as opposed to outside skills and that the best answers are customized to you rather than pulled from a system that worked for someone else.
I can coach you on specific approaches and angles plus provide smart tips to make you feel comfortable and prepared. You may be scheduled or wanting to give a TED talk, a business or community presentation, a keynote address or want to be sure your own videos and lives are dynamic and even riveting.
What sets me apart from others is that I work with you on the inside as well as outside techniques. It’s a powerful and unbeatable combination. I’m not just talking about creating a healthy mindset, which is work we do (see Mindset).
I’m talking about using what’s innate and specific to YOU to create your own unique success technique. This is what will make you unstoppable when facing a wide array of challenges in life.
Building Your Personal Success Template
We’ll look at where you were successful in your life, no matter how seemingly unrelated to the task that’s in front of you right now. When you look at your life, there are usually a lot of similar patterns. My job is to help pull awareness out, show it to you and say let’s make this even better.
And also to see where you’ve created a template that’s never worked for you. You’re the director and the actor in your own life. What kind of beliefs do you need to get where you want to go? What’s preventing you from living at your very best right now? Let’s start conditioning you.
Enlisting Intuition
Intuitively I can gather a lot of information also. I can sense what’s exciting and important to you even when you’re unaware of it. I’ve honed my intuitive gifts, am a Master Reiki practitioner and can offer many techniques, such as tapping, to help bolster the conscious shifts you’re making.
Understanding how you work optimally can serve you your whole life in so many different areas. Creating a conscious technique you can count on will give you the kind of toolset people dream of having.
Example 1: Storytelling Techniques Specific to You
I like finding out why a talk is important to you. Usually you want to grow your business or you’re nervous about having to present. That’s on the surface. I work to build rapport to create a safe space for you initially. I’ll ask what’s really important to you and ask your permission to go deeper.
I’m looking for clues to your real “why.” Once I understand the answers, we structure the outer technique.
With speaking, there’s the structure, the content and the delivery. But with each person, it’s going to be different. Every time I listen to you, I’m fine tuning how we together let you create the right structure, pull the content out and deliver it in a way that’s compelling and is YOU, not me.
I’ll give you a couple ideas and if it doesn’t fit you, we go back and forth fine tuning until we get it right for YOU.
We work on each piece of your talk, pull them together with good transitions and also work on how you step into being powerful with your delivery.
Some people need more guidance than others but I want to make sure when you’re speaking, it’s your words, not mine. It’s like learning musical chords but then the way you use them is dependent on your own style and can sound completely different with different people.
Technique without passion doesn’t communicate. So I find a way to get your passion out, not just show you technical elements.
You can go to a lot of people to teach you how to present well, organizations etc. But helping your personality come out so you can share that with passion is what will make you a genuinely great speaker.
It’s what comes from the inside; the outside skills merely support that. Many people get this the wrong way around. They think if they’ve got the right structure or skills, they’re safe. Not so.
Many a boring speaker has all the right elements but falls flat. The reason is likely that they haven’t done the inner work required.
Emotion, logic, spirit, passion all have to come together.
Example 2: Negotiation Techniques Specific to You
With negotiation, it’s a system that adds a lot of structure. There’s the big negotiation and every step along the way is like a sub-negotiation. The system is a fail safe. That’s the outside piece of it.
The inner piece is how do you have to show up for each piece of this negotiation? A big multi-month negotiation will have sub-goals throughout. Whatever’s going on with you and your emotional state when they throw a curve ball — how do you get yourself ready for that? That’s inner work.
I work with you and will throw stuff at you so that if you’re in the heat of the moment and you feel thrown off track, you’ll have a strategy to count on. This is emotional intelligence at the highest levels and it’s also a performance.
If you’re giving a keynote, you can memorize it, although deliver it with presence to be effective each time. With negotiation, there can be multiple pieces so you have to be on your game and use the system every time — you need to know the different components. The real key is managing your emotional state.

This is a powerful inner and outer strategy. People are gonna know that you’re fully prepared by how you conduct yourself.

A lot of people don’t like conflict so they leave a lot on the table. You don’t have to be some kind of warrior but this system helps you to be fully prepared because they’re gonna realize you can’t be manipulated.
I love taking somebody who’s a really good person, really talented and helping them to get what they want. It’s not about ego; it’s about what do you want. It takes a lot of emotional intelligence to be a good negotiator.
You gotta know when you’re being triggered to step away because you’re going to be triggered. The more you know about yourself and your triggers, the better you’ll do.
I want you to have an abundance of tools so when you’re triggered, you’re prepared. Big negotiations can take months. People will often come to me after they’ve fallen down, which is harder because you have to undo some things.
